The Food Manufacture Excellence Awards took place on 13th November 2008. It was a lavish ceremony to honour the very best food and drink manufacturing companies. Maxsys, which has helped many companies within the sector reduce their fuel consumption, was delighted to also lend a hand by sponsoring the event.
The dinner was held at the Marriott in Grosvenor Square, London and hosted by TV sports presenter, Steve Rider. The night’s big winner, crowned Company of the Year, was Greencore Chilled Soups and Sauces, which impressed the judges with its determination to turn its factory into a centre of excellence.
Maxsys has a strong connection to the food and drink industry. Maxsys Fuel Systems have been successfully installed at companies like Findus (a major manufacturer of frozen foods) and the First Milk Cheese Company. Maxsys sponsored the Dairy category at the Awards, whose nominees included First Milk. However, the prize ultimately went to Kerrygold, which made the best impression on the judges.
