Maxsys Ltd, a green tech firm based in Telford, is experiencing a boom in profits. In light of its success, it is supporting industry by sponsoring three big awards ceremonies.
While most of the business world languishes in economic uncertainty, green technology in the Midlands is experiencing a surprising upturn in profits. A recent report by the UN forecasted that the green tech sector will provide millions of new jobs in the coming years. Both Gordon Brown and Barack Obama have recently cited “green-collar” jobs as the path out of economic depression. This surge in support for green technology has certainly been reflected in local company, Maxsys Ltd.
Maxsys has been installing its magnetic fuel treatment technology at industrial sites across a range of sectors for more than 5 years, but recent months have seen a surge in interest. Paul Finnegan, Commercial Director of Maxsys, comments: “As the drive for fuel efficiency intensifies, the market has been opening up to technologies that are proven. Companies have cottoned on to the fact that improving energy efficiency is not only environmentally positive, but also a smart way of saving money.”
The Maxsys Fuel Systems are standalone devices that improve combustion in boilers and other heating systems. They produce typical fuel savings of 5%, while also yielding a reduction in CO2 emissions. Best of all, the systems normally achieve payback in less than two years.
Maxsys’s success has allowed the company to show support for the food and chemical industries, where its magnetic fuel treatment technology has received widespread uptake. Maxsys is sponsoring the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards, the Food Processing Awards, and the CIA (Chemical Industries Association) Annual Dinner.
Mr Finnegan comments: “Each one of these events serves to highlight best business practice. As the UK weathers the economic downturn, best practice has never been more important. Since cost-cutting and energy-efficiency are priorities for every business right now, the partnership between Maxsys and industry is vital. Green technology, such as magnetic fuel treatment, is not something that should fall by the wayside in hard times, since it can be an excellent way to reduce fuel costs and stay competitive.”
