Maxsys Director test-drives world’s fastest electric supercar

March 2009

After a recent meeting at ALOE Private Equity office in Paris, investors in the Maxsys Fuel Systems technology, Paul Finnegan was offered the chance to test-drive the world's fastest electric supercar.

Proving that environmentalism does not preclude fun, Commercial Director, Mr Finnegan took the Tesla Roadster out for a spin on the motorways and roads of France. This beautiful 100% electric car is capable of delivering enough power to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 4 seconds and with speeds up to 135 mph. A marked improvement on the capabilities of other electric vehicles, its battery stores enough energy for the vehicle to travel approximately 250 miles before recharging.

“I enjoy driving and I think Tesla has changed my view on electric cars”, says Paul Finnegan, “green cars can be stylish, fast and efficient”.

Judging by the manufacturer's claims, the Tesla accelerates more quickly than a Ferrari Spider and is fast enough to leave a Mercedes SL550 standing. It costs just one cent per mile in electricity to run and boasts twice the fuel efficiency of hybrid cars such as the Toyota Prius.

Mr Finnegan comments: “To test drive the Tesla Roadster was an exhilarating experience. It combines engineering accomplishment with great energy saving capacity. Tesla proves that sustainability doesn’t have to be staid or boring. This is certainly a mantra we employ at Maxsys. If Tesla ever manufacture a family version of the Roadster, I will definitely buy it!”.
