February 2009
On 9 February, the 2009 Food Processing Awards were held with great success at the Hinckley Island Hotel, Leicestershire. Maxsys lent its support to the event, giving notable sponsorship to the Environmental Initiative category.
The gala awards ceremony comprised part of Food Processing’s Appetite for Engineering, Phase 2 event, intended to drive engineering and automation into the food processing industry. Celebrating their 25th year, the awards seek to commend best practice in the sector. The evening was made especially memorable thanks to the showmanship of comedian and former Catchphrase presenter, Roy Walker.
Maxsys was involved in several aspects of the festivities. In reflection of its continued support for green innovation, Maxsys sponsored the Environmental Initiative Award, which went to global supplier of washing and sanitation equipment, Industrial Washing Machines.
However, the evening was not all business. Maxsys sponsored the night’s Champagne Reception, which not only overflowed with bubbly, but also included a magician to entertain the crowd.

Paul Finnegan, Commercial Director of Maxsys, commented: “This year’s Food Processing Awards were a real triumph. Throughout our sponsorship process, the Food Processing team have been incredibly helpful, friendly and professional.”
